Noble cause - Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan

First of all I want to thank all of the people who has visited this blog. This is not an official blog of Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan of Sundarbari, Guwahati. I am writing this blog as I become a fan of the "Sadan" & wish to extend help to "Sadan".
A brief history of the Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan :-
Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan is situated in Sundarbari area of Jalukbari. It is approx 1 KM from the national highway & towards the Assam Engineering College road. on 3rd August 2011, I went to the Sadan & I am very much glad that I was there. It is a very nice place & children & other members are very polite & I can assure you that once you visited the place you will definitely visit it again.
Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan was established in the year 1956 with the initiative of Late Amalprava Das & few others with a mission to help the underprivileged children of the society. The Sadan started its work on a plot of land at village Sundarbari near Jalukbari donated by Late Kamakhya Ram Braua. Foundation of the Sadan was laid down by then Broadcasting Minister of Govt of India, Late Indira Gandhi on 17th March 1958. The aim of the Sadan is not only to provide for the basic amenities of life to the children but also to train them up to become a good citizen of the society. It has around 25-30 children at present.

Income generation resources of the Sadan :-

Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan is an non govt organisation working towards underprivileged children of the society. They are not getting enough financial support from the Govt & thus mostly depend upon donations & aids from well wishers & other organisations. You can extend your financial support to the Sadan by donating money & will also get tax exemption under Section 80 G of Income Tax Act 1961.

The craft of the Sadan produces "gamocha", "chadar", "mekhela", "pari" etc. & these items are sold to make the Sadan financially self-supporting. Also the milk produced from the cattle-shed of the Sadan is consumed by the inmates & the excess quantity sold out. The cowdung of the Sadan is used to run the bio-gas plant of the Sadan.
